Yoga Class Tuesday July 2nd, 19:00 -20:15 @Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35

Dear Yogis & Yoginis!

This Tuesday, 2nd of July, I would love to share a Hatha Yoga class with you!

The class takes place from 19:00 – 20:15 at the Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35.

In this class I will guide you through a short pranayama session. To continue with the traditional Hatha Surya Namaskara combined with the 12 mantras. Ones we are warm the body is ready to hold some postures for longer and we will build up to some inversions.

Finishing with some restorative postures and live handpan tunes. This class is suitable for all levels and there are always options to adjust postures. 

For this class you need a yoga mat and comfortable clothes to move in. Please bring, if you have a strap and a block. We have some extra ones at our shala if you donโ€™t have your own.

I invite you to arrive 10 minutes early to set up your space. After class there is the option to hang around for a cup of tea.

This class is donation based and we came up with a donation scale but we welcome and stimulate everybody to join the yoga! So if donation is not an option for you in this moment just let us know but please join the class ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป 

Feel free to bring a friend, or two to class to share the yoga knowledge and community spirit!

Pranayama & Hatha Yoga Class Sunday 30 June, 11:00 – 12:30 @Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35

This Sunday, 30th of June, I would love to share a Pranayama and Hatha Yoga class with you!

The class takes place from 11:00 – 12:30 at the Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35.

In this class I will guide you through a long pranayama session where we will use all three bandhas together; Maha Bandha or the great lock. Besides that we will use our Ujjayi breath or sound breath during the Pranayama session.

After that I will guide you through a dynamic sequence where we focus on alignment and breathing to continue with holding some postures for longer. Finishing slowing down and during Savasana some live handpan tunes. This class is suitable for all levels and itโ€™s always possible to adjust postures. 

For this class you need a yoga mat and comfortable clothes to move in. Please bring, if you have a strap and a block. We have some extra ones at our shala if you donโ€™t have your own.

I invite you to arrive 10 minutes early to set up your space. After class there is the option to hang around for a cup of tea.

Yoga Class Tuesday 25 June, 19:00 – 20:15 @Stadspark

Dear Yogis & Yoginis!

This Tuesday, 25th of June, I would love to share a Hatha Yoga class with you!
The class takes place from 19:00 – 20:15 at the Stadspark. At our usual place the field of stadspark parkrun on Google maps.

In this class we will start with some explanation about the third Bandha, which is called Jalandhara Bandha or chin lock.
After that I will guide you through a long pranayama session where we will use all three bandhas together; Maha Bandha or the great lock. Besides that we will use our Ujjayi breath or sound breath during the Pranayama session.

After that I will guide you through a dynamic sequence where we focus on alignment and breathing to continue with holding some postures for longer. Finishing slowing down and during Savasana some live handpan tunes. This class is suitable for all levels and itโ€™s always possible to adjust postures.

For this class you need a yoga mat and comfortable clothes to move in. Please bring, if you have a strap and a block to sit on (or a blanket since we sit for a while during Pranayama). I will bring some extra straps to the park for who doesnโ€™t have their own.

Also water bottle, sunscreen and mosquito repellent can come in handy. Or long sleeve pants and shirt might do.

I invite you to arrive 10 minutes early to set up your space. After class there is the option to hang around in the park for some chitchatting.

Yoga class Tuesday 18th June 2024, 19:00 @ Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35

Good morning yoga friends! This Tuesday 18th June 2024 at 19:00 (the date on the flyer is wrong), we will have a hatha-based yoga class at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35. In this class we will continue our theme from Sunday. We will practice taking inspiration from ocean waves to guide our breath and movement.

This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. The class is donation based, via cash or tikkie, and your donation supports the continuation of our community. However, we encourage your participation even if donation is not possible for you right now. For this class please bring your yoga mat, and a yoga block or two if you have them. Afterwards you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea.

Yoga class Sunday 16th June, 11:00-12:15 @ Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35

Good morning everyone!

I invite you to join me this Sunday 16th June at 11:00-12:00 at Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35 for a slow flow yoga class.

โ€˜Slow flowโ€™ is a format where we move through a sequence more (surprise) slowly! We spend more time in each asana and slowing down our breath to a meditative rhythm. Longer holds challenge our inner strength and deepen our knowledge of asana. The class is suitable for all levels, adjustments and modifications will be offered where necessary. We will also practice simple pranayama, and enjoy a soundbowl meditation during savasana. After you are welcome to stay for a cup of tea and chat.

For this class you need only your mat and a yoga block (if you have one, if not its no problem, we have blocks for you to use). This class is donation-based, your contribution helps us to keep this community going, and every little helps. If a donation is not possible for you at this time, please let us know and we will accommodate you!
