Yoga Class Tuesdsy September 24th, 19:00 – 20:15 @Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35


Dear yoga friends!

I would love to share another yoga class with you! And this time it’s Iyengar yoga. Happening this Tuesday 24th of September from 19:00 – 20:15 @ de Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat 35.

In Iyengar yoga the focus is all about the aligntment. While using a lot of props to get into the right alignment. We will start with Lama Pranayama. Then I will guide you through a variation of standing asanas where the focus will be on lengthening, strengthening and balance. We build up towards the challenging Sirsasana; headstand. To afterwards rest your body calmly in Savasana, guided by some live handpan tunes.

We will finish the class with some chanting to let the vibrations of our voices relax our nervous systems and bring us into a meditative state of mind.

For this class we will use a lot of yoga props. Most important is your yoga mat and comfortable clothes. We will use a 2 yoga blocks, a belt and a blanket during this class. If you have your own it would be great if you can bring them along and if not we have some spare props to share. I Invite you to arrive 10 minutes early to set up your props and space.

After class there is always the open invite to stay for tea and connect with your fellow yoga practitioners 🧘🏼 πŸ«– πŸ§˜πŸΌβ€β™‚οΈ

This class is suitable for all regardless of yoga experience, we welcome beginners and dedicated practitioners alike. The class is donation based, via cash or tikkie, and your donation supports the growth of our community. But also to retain the yoga space that we have now at the Nieuwe Sint Jansstraat. However, we encourage your participation even if donation is not possible for you right now.

And feel free to invite anybody that could benefit from a yoga practice to join this class.
